Mites 2 Midgets Goalie Coaching was founded by Chip Cormier. Chip has been involved in Ice Hockey
in North America for over 40+ years.

Chip started his carrier between the pipes after starting out as a defenseman that spent more time in
the blue paint than the goalie on his team did.

Living in Canada in the provinces of British Columbia and Nova Scotia, allowed Chip to start his
hockey experience in an environment of highly skilled and motivated coaches and players.

Chip's family moved to Colorado during his 1st year as a Bantam. They located in Aurora and found a
great hockey association not too far away, in Arvada. During the 70's the Arvada Hockey Association
was one of the best youth hockey associations in the area and they are still going strong.

During Chip's freshman year he and his family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. There they found
that the youth hockey associations had not flourished as they did in the great metro area of Denver.
Chip enrolled in Mitchell High School where they had a Varsity hockey team. Chip played two
seasons and was voted to the first team all-stars two years in a row.

During the summer, Chip went back to BC and attended the Okanogan Hockey Schools held in
Penticton, BC.
